Method 1

Quick Fixing the Head Gasket

  1. Drain all anti-freeze from the radiator. After you have drained the anti-freeze, Flush the system. You can do this with a flushing agent (should be about $3 for a kit) and follow the instructions for flushing the system completely on bottle or kit box.
  2. Add water to the cooled engine. Make sure that you leave enough room for the additive.
  3. Add Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealant.
  4. Top up the engine with water, then bleed the air. Continue to top the engine off until it becomes full.
  5. Replace radiator cap.
  6. Idle car for 1/2 hour, or whatever is recommended on the label of the product. Most decent products require you to leave it in your engine for several driven miles.
  7. Drain all sealer and water. Leave all the orifices open and allow the car to dry for 24 hours.
  8. Flush once again with water. Then, drain the water. Once the water is drained, fill it with the recommended coolant/water mixture.
  9. Remember to bleed the air from the system. To do this, open any bleeder valves and remove the radiator cap. Run the engine until warm, while topping up with water until it can’t hold anymore
